Apron Sizes and the Resurgence of the Apron as Style

The apron has enjoyed a minor renaissance in terms of wearing them when performing household chores. For instance, an article in the Wall Street Journal claimed the apron is "enjoying a renaissance as a retro-chic fashion accessory" in the United States.

The apron is enjoying a resurgence thanks to a few modern cultural factors. The slow foods and foodie movements have inspired people to cook for pleasure Today there is no negative social stigma associated with doing one’s own chores (like cooking and cleaning) or with pursuing messy hobbies or careers (like styling, gardening or painting).

Bohemian: The term has become associated with various artistic or academic communities and is used as a generalized adjective describing such people, environs, or situations: bohemian (boho—informal) is defined in The American College Dictionary as "a person with artistic or intellectual tendencies, who lives and acts with no regard for conventional rules of behavior."

Mexican Aprons, Bohemian Bags and Accessories

We work with artisans to bring you traditional aprons and Bohemian Bags plus many more common accessories and items in the area we are privileged to live and work.  

The name Tonala means "place where the sun rises" and comes from the Nahuatl word Tonalla. It is located in the central east part of the state of Jalisco.

If you are looking to buy handicrafts in Tonalá, Jalisco one of the best options is to do it in the handicraft market , where almost 4,000 artisans offer their goods directly for sale at a very good cost. This tianguis is installed on Thursdays and Sundays between the streets of Juarez, Madero, Cruz Blanca, Santos Degollado and Tonaltecas and Tonalá.

The handcraft market , as you can imagine is unbelievably busy and hard to negotiate. We prefer to deal with seamstress and producers directly for the product we offer to insure the highest quality and a dependable supply.
