The name Tonala means "place where the sun rises" and comes from the Nahuatl word Tonalla. It is located in the central east part of the state of Jalisco.

If you are looking to buy handicrafts in Tonalá, Jalisco one of the best options is to do it in the handicraft market , where almost 4,000 artisans offer their goods directly for sale at a very good cost. This tianguis is installed on Thursdays and Sundays between the streets of Juarez, Madero, Cruz Blanca, Santos Degollado and Tonaltecas and Tonalá.

The handcraft market , as you can imagine is unbelievably busy and hard to negotiate. We prefer to deal with seamstress and producers directly for the product we offer to insure the highest quality and a dependable supply.
